Penguins on ice floe

This is my mother's embroidery. A long time ago, when I was cross-stitcher addict I found arcticles about signs in embroidery and for those who are seeking for soulmate - they have to stitch couple. So my mother chose this cute penguins and now I'm puting it in scrap-frame.

The idea was that penguins live in the North, North is full of ice, so penguins are on ice floe. Ice floe frame is a chipboard, which is created by my own layout and is decorated with piece of old wallpaper with pattern is very similar to snow. Then I painted wallpaper with white acrylic paint with some shimmer effect for more pure white color and similarity to snow. On edges are glued styrofoam packaging... beads for even more snowy texture and are covered with glitter. Also I used punched snow flakes, covered with glitter.

    1. Thank you! It's really challenging, especially when you don't have enough stuff to create what you want. So we think before throwing something in a trash: Can I use this in some craft project?
